Westexe Rangers 4 v 1 Pinhoe Lightning
Goals: Jimmy Hinds
Despite going two down in the first half the Pins came beack to put this game on a knife edge with a fine long range lob from skipper jimmy Hinds. Pinhoe then went on to frustrate the visitors with some spirited and determined play. And held out for 50 minutes before conceeding goals 3 & 4.
The defence as a whole worked very hard and were under constant pressure from a previously free scoring Westexe side, with Isaac Furness having one of his best games of the season at centre back.
The end result was quite cruel because the lads really played as a team and got on with the job, it was pleasing to see them restore a lot of their recently lost personal pride. Well done lads.

Pinhoe Lightning 2 v 5 Brixington Blues
Goals: Bradley Palmer, Liam Armatruda
Despite the scoreline there long periods of the game where the Pins dominated and had the vistors on the back foot, however some basic defensive errors cost Lightning dearly. If the back four could move as aunit and step up and out early they would help themselves enormously.
That said the spirit was good at times and that give shope for the future, we must however lose the bad attitude that flits in and out of game it does nothing to boost our morale or increase our chances of winning. come on lads you can do much better as you showed with the wonderful equaliser (Brad/Liam/Jimmy) which was well worked and showed great determination and control.

Pinhoe Lightning 0 v 4 Buckland Athletic
Despite the huge scoreline the Pins were always in thisa game right up to the last 15 minutes, and if they had takne all their chances this would've been a high scoring draw. but it was the Bucks that were most deadly in front of goal and because of this they grabbed all 3 points. Never the less there was huge amount of positives to take away from the Lightning performance and there are real signs that they are starting top buzz again - it was a very supportive team effort and they can all be pleased with their contributions.

Broadclyst 2 v 3 Pinhoe Lightning
Goals: Liam Armatruda 2, Isaac Furness 1
A real solid team display saw Lightning edge this home fixture and grab 3 points. After racing to a 3-0 lead by half time thanks to two quick goals from Liam Amatruda and a high swerving cross come shot from Isaac Furness, the Pins took their foot off the gas and allowed Broadclyst to come back into the game and set up a nervous last 20 minutes.
In fairness they were denied a stonewall penalty and were coming back into the game at the end. MOM Brad Palmer worked his socks off in midfield and stand in centre back Owen Le Voi gave a great performance in an unfamiliar role.
This more like how Lightning play with slick 1-2's and neat passing it was noticeable that Harry Choules was much more involved on left and helped to set up several good chances. Also good to see Oliver Thomas back in the team.

Brixington Blues 3 v 3 Pinhoe Lightning
Goals: Liam Armatruda, Isaac Furness, Bradley Palmer
After a long spell off for the weather Lightining were rusty in several areas of the pitch, and struggled early on to get control of the ball and the game. it was therefore no surprise to see the home side race to a 3-1 lead. However whereas in the past Lightning would have crumbled there was a team spirit beginning to grow that saw them pull back into the match and then dominate the final 15 minutes. James Sharman playing only his second game in goal was man of the match with 2 supeb last ditch saves - one at full stretch to deny a certain top corner screamer, this seemed to fire the team and the passing got slicker and the desire to win the ball grew, Brad Palmer made a real contribution in midfield as did Lee Johnson in defence - goals from Liam, Isaac and Brad gave the game the right result. Good performances too from Owen Le Voi filling in at right back and Adam Miller on the right flank. Well done lads a great result.
