Pinhoe Panthers 2 v 1 Beacon Knights
Goals : Harry Elliot 2
This was our derby match and like a lot of local derbies both teams cancelled each other out. There was a lot of endeavor but very little quality pinhoe struggled to pass the ball and on too many ocasions gave possession away, adam was rarely challanged in goal and i don`t think i have seen so many throw ins in a game which meant there was no flow to the game ollie may joined the attack and harry went close with a half chance at half time it was 0-0 the half time team talk was about getting the ball down and passing it wide.Halfway through the second half we gave the ball away which resulted in beacon knights getting a corner, the corner game in no challenge and unfortunatly reece shinned the ball into the net after a knights player had shot.I was a bit worried because we had created very little so we changed tactics and put 3 up front andy, linden and ollie and this resulted in us having more pressure and when harry latched on to a good through ball he raced into the penalty area where the knights keeper clipped him and the ref awarded a deserved penalty, harry looked confident but was a bit lucky when the keeper saved his intial shot but harry cooly finished the rebound much too the relief of the watching mums and parents we eventualy took the lead ollie snow took a corner and kane did a spectacular over head kick which was goal bound the knights defense failed to clear and there was harry in the right place to fire home the winner i think we just shaded the win .well done boys for keeping going.
smiles all round.

Exwick 2 v 6 Pinhoe Panthers
Goals : Ollie May 3, Andy Roberts 1, Harry Elliot 1, Ollie Snow 1
The final match of the calender year, on an absolutely freezing morning was the setting for what was in my opinion, the finest performance of the calender year. Exwick sat above us in the league table but Pinhoe came into the match on the back of an impressive draw with the leaders last week.
Panthers came out of the blocks at the sprint and dominated the first five minutes totally, pushing Exwick back especially down our left. A short while later, Panthers took a deserved lead with Ollie May scoring the first of his three goals after good work by Andy. One soon became 0 - 2, when Ollie repaid the favour and Andy scored off the rebound from Ollie's shot. Panthers continued to dominate and Kane especially looked impressive. A free kick outside the box broke to Ollie Snow who scored the goal of the game with a superb strike to make it 0 - 3 at half time. To be honest it should have been four, after a cross from Ollie May which was perfectly set for Andy to tap in the most straight forward of headers, but somehow he contrived to miss the ball.
The second half continued in the same vein and it didn't take long for Panthers to seal the game with fourth and fifth goals 0 - 5, Harry and Ollie May scoring. From then on Panthers naturally let their foot off the gas a little and Exwick came more into the game scoring twice to make it slightly presentable at 2 - 5. All substitutes made effective contributions and the changes didn't look like upsetting the balance of the team. The morning was rounded off nicely when Ollie May completed his hatrick near the end to make the final score 2 - 6 to Panthers. The hung over manager went home happy.
Man of the match: Ollie May. If you score three you win the award its as simple as that. However it would be remiss to not mention Kane today as i thought he was excellent and would have picked up the award had it not been for Ollie's shooting boots.
Merry Christmas to everyone associated with the Panthers.

Twyford 2 v 2 Pinhoe Panthers
Goals : Harry Elliot, Ollie Snow
The nerves of the manager were being tested by the very best on a cold sat morning right up until kick off we only had 9 boys but thankfully the Calvary arrived right on kick off.
After what had happened at Tiverton in the second half I was worried by what response the boys would give I should not have doubted them they started the game full of purpose and the self belief started to come through we won tackles all over the pitch and we rightly took the lead when Kieran wildigg Made a cracking pass to Ollie snow out on the left who cut in side and his shot flew into the net at the near post. we continued to win our personal battles and I was please with the likes of Jamie who slotted into right back and had a really good game with kp in front of him also getting stuck in at times we were a bit guilty of not knocking the ball long enough for andy and ollie to chase on to the pitch was terrible and good passing was not an easy option.
Twyford equalised when we failed to mark up from a corner and they scored from a header we continued to battle away and Chris and Kieran were back to their best at the heart of the defense.just before half time the tywford centre forward received the ball on the edge of the box and with a deft turn powered the boy into the net we went in 2-1 down.
We kicked off the second half and work on the training ground paid off from the centre Aaron knocked a long ball into their half and they conceded ground right away.
Harry was working his socks off in the middle of the park and won many important tackles and headers and our top scorer added to his tally after a pass from ollie snow was missed by the defender and harry punished them with a fine shot.
Twyford really piled on the pressure and they missed a few gilt edge chances also Adam stood up and made one great save diving away to his right and pushing the ball around the post snowy hooked one off the line but we held out for a deserved point .All the boys played their part in this draw And can feel rightly proud of their efforts we just need to show this week in week out.
Made my weekend
Proud proud proud.

Crediton 2 v 0 Pinhoe Panthers
The last time i saw Panthers play, was against Culm Utd when a solid performance from all involved, throughout the whole seventy minutes saw us deservedly win.
What i saw today was as similar as tennis is to rugby!
The pitch was wet, the grass was a bit to long, that was about as far as you could go on the excuse front. We started slow and in the first half managed convincingly to not up our game. It was a scruffy start from both teams, but it didn't take long for Crediton to take the initiative. They were by far the stronger team, too strong on some occasions but sometimes we have to match like for like, and we didn't. As is our way, we conceded the standard early goal from a break down our right, a straight forward ball into our box resulted in a goal. After twenty minutes, Crediton doubled their lead with a similar move and outcome. 2 - 0 down and a mountain to climb. Two tactical changes by Rapha Snow saw Kane and Cory enter the fray, and the next five minutes or so proved to be our best of the first half. Andy, dependable as ever with his work rate managed to chalk up our first shot on target, but come half time that was all we had to show for our efforts.
Crediton started the second half in much the same vein, however after about ten minutes, Panthers started to get a little better. Harry and Aaron started to get on the ball a little more and the whole team pushed further up the pitch as a unit. Adam still had to be alert though and made a good save from a long ball into the box. Panthers best move of the match went from Kieran to Harry, whose deft header, put in Ollie May who shot just wide from outside the area. That was ultimately as good as it got for Panthers and Crediton ran out 2 - 0 winners without to many complaints.
This was a disappointing perfomance by the boys, but there is always the prospect of a return to the form that saw us brush Culm aside in the cup. If we can manage that level of performance on a regular basis, we will win more than we don't.
Blue moon.
Man of the match: Aaron. Sometimes periferal, sometimes easily knocked off the ball, but again today showed signs of the ability he undoubtedly has. He was instrumental in the few brief moments in the match when we were on top, and worked hard and put himself about, especially in the second half.
